I love school when:

226. We go on an excursion and I get to walk (sometimes run or stumble because someone behind has pushed) down the aisle of the bus when going on a school outing. My friends’ happy faces surround me. There is that strange plastic smell, and the excitement of going some place other than the classroom.

227. An eruption of screams and squeals sends everyone running in the direction of the sound. (Kids should really run in the direction away from the sound of screams and squealing.) We lean over each other and see a tiny lizard or spider, who is probably a thousand times more scared of us than we are of it.

228. My teacher organises a wonderful excursion. (Not the one to the recycling centre, or the sewerage centre.)

229.My teacher gives the children who have trouble speaking, the job of thanking the people who run a presentation. (Their thankyou is almost as long as the presentation.)

230.We learn a new game for sport.
