The teacher recognises how hard the work has been, and breaks the lesson with a game.  Today’s game is that we form groups of three, and decide upon an animal sound.  We wander around the class and when the teacher claps her hands we must close our eyes, make the animal sound, and try to reform our group without opening our eyes. It is a chaotic mess of animal shouting.  I love school.

242. The ‘farm animals’ come to school and we are able to pet chickens, rabbits, goats…

243. The time of my music lesson clashes with the subject I dislike most, so I get to miss out a lesson.

244. A friend who has a hard time at home falls asleep at her desk, and the teacher tells us to work quietly so as not to wake her.

245. Grammar or punctuation lessons are based on a recent celebration, like Halloween, Easter, Harvest… or when they include names of children in the class.
